Weekending November 29th

 

The Carpet One TykeMajor Jr Bulls travelled to Napanee this weekend for the Napanee Stars Combo Tournament. Friday they started things off with a tough loss to North FrontenacNovice Team, losing

11-0, they fought hard through out the game but the Jr Bullscould not get any breaks.

The Jr Bulls then travelled to Deseronto for game 2 to take on the Napanee Stars, they played hard and fought till the end and lost with a score of 5-3, the scoreboard saw goals

from Riley St Pierre 2, and Ben Duvall, providing the assists Dakota De Genova 2, Tess Rushlow,Cayde Culhane, Katie McNair, and Kellen Irwin. Sharing the net

with outstanding peformances for both games,Scott Fleming and Ethan Fraser.

Saturday the Carpet One TykeJr Bulls had a match againstthe Novice B Jr Bulls, this nailbitter was a 1 point game going into the third, the tykes lost with a score of 4-0 but never gave up, they demonstrated determination and they played hard offensively and defencively till the end. For the final they met with the Napanee Stars and were on the losing end of a 7-3 battle.Despite the scoreboard this weekend the Tyke Jr Bulls applied alot of pressure, showed alot of hustle and had some terrific passes, they never gave up. Goals for the tykes were provided by Damian Hallam, Mack Morrish, and Joe Bardwell, providing the assists were Morrish, Brett Foley, and Griffin Leveque. Goaltenders Ethan Fraser and Scott Fleming between the pipes and were on fire with terrific saves in both games.

 

 

The Steinburg Dental Centre Novice AE Bulls played in the Napanee Tournament this weekend making it to the final. Friday's play began with a 3-0 shutout of the Napanee Stars by Mark Rosatte. Scoring provided by Will Brennan,Austin Boyd and Mackinley Boomhower. Friday's second game ended with a 9-4 loss to North Frontenac. Goals came from Chris Keller,Will Smith,Will Brennan and Mackinley Boomhower. Saturday started with a 4-0 win over The Belleville Tykes. A hat trick by Mackinley Boomhower and a single by Chris Keller led the way. Shutout goaltending by Ben Orr-McCausland. In Saturday's final, the Bulls were defeated by North Frontenac by 11-3. Scoring were Will Smith with 2 and Chris Keller.

Assistson the weekendwith 2 were Austin Boyd,Will Brennan,Blake Bush,Will Smith,Chris Keller,Cole McCambridge and singles to Aaron Yuan,Austin Morgan,Nathan Channell and Jaden Mott.

The Four Seasons Sports Minor Atom 'A' teamhad an up and down home-stand this past weekend. On Saturday the Jr. Bulls lost 4-3 to Oshawa. Owen Dever had a hat trick in the loss with assists to Ryan Milligan and Rorey Kehoe. On Sunday the team rebounded with a strong effort to earn a3-3 tieagainst first place Whitby. Goals were scored by Devin Roach and Milligan (2) with assists to Angelo Brown, Dever and Milligan."

 

The Parkside Landscaping Major Atom A Belleville Jr. Bulls finished in the round robin Napanee tournament on the weekend with 2 wins - 1 loss. The Jr. Bulls started strong with a pair of wins over Amerstview 12-1 and Port Hope 5-1 with a loss to Midland 3-1. In the semi-final game against Caledonia, the Jr.Bullsfell behind 3-0 early in the game and battled back 3-2; however, theywere unable to find the equalizer to tie the game.

 

Tal Trees Minor PeeWee Awent undefeated going 3-0 the weekending Nov 29. Travelling to Oshawa mid-week and coming out on top 5-2. Goal scores: Josh Burelle(2), Dylan Blake, Tristan Nugent and Ben Russett. Assists: Justin Lewis(2),Aaron Wells, Ben Russett,Cam Clarke, Tristan Nugent and Dylan Blake.Goalie: Nick Boutilier.

OnSaturday played in Trenton and downed Quinte West 6-4. Goals going to Tristan Nugent (2), Cam Clarke, Josh Burelle, Jack Goerke, Dylan Blake. Assists: Dylan Blake(2),Jordan Stanfield, Aaron Wells, Jack Goerke, Brendan Fredericks, Justin Lewis, Shaw Boomhower, Tristan Nugent. In goal Nick Boutilier.

Sunday hosted Oshawa taking it 9-4. Goals going to Cam Clarke(2), Shaw Boomhower(2), Josh Burelle(2), Tristan Nugent, Brendan Fredericks, Justin Lewis. Assists:Brendan Fredericks(2), Jake Love, Jake London,Aaron Wells, Tristan Nugent,Dylan Blake, Shaw Boomhower, Brayden White. In goal for histhird win of the week Nick Boutilier.

The Peter Smith Chev Olds PeeWee Jr. Bulls were on the road to Cobourg Friday and earned a 1-1 tie.Austin Lalonde was very steady in net withArron Milligan getting the lone goal on assists from Sheamus Addy and Bradley Soule.Saturday the Jr.Bulls were in Oshawa taking on the Generals and skated away with a 3-2 victory.Brock Tufts looked after goaltending duties for the Peter Smith Chev Olds Bulls on this night and CJ Fox chipped in withtwo goalswhile Jordan Guindon had two goals and an assist.Noah Sager had two helpers while singles went toLogan Elliot and Liam Bailey-McDade.Sunday brought Cobourg back to Belleville for a return visit and they left with a 3-0 victory.Austin Lalonde kept Belleville in the game to the end innet for the Peter Smith Chev Olds PeeWee Jr.Bulls.

The First on Site Restoration Minor Peewee AE Junior Bulls travelled to Barrie this past weekend for the 2010 Canadian Tire Classic Hockey Tournament. The Bulls opened on Friday with a tensely fought 1-1 tie with Stouffville. Lone goal scored by William Keneford, Assists - Riley Bonin and Max Mercer. Zak Kelly strong in net for the tie. On Saturday morning Belleville beat East Gwillimbury 8-3. Goals - William Keneford (3), Reilly Connell (2), Evan Foley, Johnathan Lamorre and Wyatt Brauer. Assists – Declan Cross (3), Max Mercer (2), Evan Hoecht (2), Keneford, Foley, Lamorre, Riley Bonin, Damon Fair and Joe Clarey. Evan Hill delivered a solid performance in net. Later on Saturday Belleville lost a toughly played 4-2 decision to Georgetown. Goals – Johnathan McDonald and Riley Connell. Assists – Evan Hoecht, Evan Foley and Johnathan LaMorre. Zak Kelly in net. The three game record qualified the Junior Bulls for the semi finals on Sunday where they unfortunately fell 2-0 to a tough Waterloo squad. Evan Hill in net. The Junior Bulls continue league play this coming weekend before competing in the Belleville Shiners Tournament here in Belleville Dec 11-13.

 

The McDougall Insurance Midget Minor A team defeated Quinte West 4-2. Scoring for Belleville were Jared Boomhower, TJ McAlarey, Paul Buckley and Greg Massicotte. Assists from Mitchell Smith (2), Shawn Dinnery-Peeling, Dakota Mahar and Devin McCann.

 

The Carpet One Major Bantam AE Jr. Bulls lost 5-3 in Pickering Wednesday Night. Scoring for Belleville was Brock Cruess, Connor Stone and Patrick Shannon, with assists going to Joshua Leadbeater, Nick Eliopoulos and Brennan Chesterton. Riley Sampson played well in net for Belleville.

 

The Carpet One Major Bantam AE Jr. Bulls lost 3-1 versus Peterborough Saturday Night at Memorial Arena. Scoring for Belleville was Connor Stone, with assist going to Brock Cruess. Corey McMurter played an excellent game in net.
