The McDougall Insurance Minor Midget A Bulls went undefeated in four games to win their home tournament this weekend. Game One saw the team defeat the Napanee Stars, winning 5-2. Scoring for Belleville were Derek Stoliker (unassisted), Dakota Mahar, Jared Boomhower, Conrad Charlton and Cullen McGrath. Assists to Mitchell Smith (2), Devin McCann, Matt McDougall, Mitch Goodfellow, Paul Buckely, Mahar and Stoliker. Nick Nunn got the win in net. In Game Two, the Bulls triumphed over the Toronto Ice Dogs 13-2. Scoring for the Bulls were TJ McAlarey, Mahar, McDougall, Devin McCann, Charlton (2), Boomhower with a hat-trick and Smith with a hat-trick plus 1. Assisting were Shawn Dinnery-Peeling (3), Daniel London, Greg Massicotte, Paul Buckley (2), McGrath (2), Charlton (3), Mahar (4), McCann (2), Smith (2), Goodfellow, McAlarey and Goalie Brodie MCGuinnis. Receiving a bye into the semi-finals Belleville defeated the Napanee Stars in a rematch 2-0. Scoring for the Bulls were McGrath from McDougall and Massicotte and McDougall from Buckley and McGrath. Nunn got the shut-out. Moving into the finals the Bulls faced the Kanata Blazers, winning the game

3-0 and McGuinnis receiving the second team shut-out of the weekend. McGrath scored twice for the Bulls, once unassisted, with Buckley adding a third, McDougall (2) and Massicotte assisting




The Wilson Sports Bantam Major A Jr. Bulls competed in their Belleville Tournament this past week-end.

 

The Bulls played against Innisfil on Friday evening in a back and forth game. The goalies stole the show and were perfect, playing to a 0-0 tie. Eric Wells earned game MVP for his performance between the pipes.

 

In their second round robin game the Bulls beat Casselman 6-0. The Bulls were lead offencively by Colin Moore with 2 goals and 1 assist. Other point-getters were Joey Thompson with 2 goals, Janson Mulder with 1 goal and 1 assist, Connor Cassidy with2 assists, Jarrod Pulver with 1 goal andWade Little, Garrett Sherry and Evan Cleave each with 1 assist. Danny Manning was perfect in the net getting his first shut out of the year. Jarrod Pulver was named game MVP.

 

On Saturday evening the Bulls faced the Napanee Stars in the quarter finals. They skated to a 1-1 tie, with Wade Little feedinga pinching Drew Scott for Belleville's lone goal. Eric Wells was solid in net earning game MVP.

 

Sunday morning found the Bulls in the semi-finals against Metcalfe. The scoring was back and forth with Belleville coming out ahead in a 5-4overtime win.Goals were scored by Wade Little, Colin Moore,Joey Thompson each with one and Connor Cassidy with 2( the second being the overtime winner). Assists went to Evan Cleave, Wade Little (2), Jimmy Hamilton (2), Patrick Gogarty and Colin Moore. Danny Manning was in net for the win. Connor Cassidy earned game MVP.

 

In the final game against Kanata the Bulls lost 3-2 in overtime. With exciting action 4-on-4, then 3-on-3 settling nothing. It came down to 2-on-2 play, where Kanata scored. Scoring for Belleville wereKyle FoleyandTyler Botting. Assists going to Jimmy Hamilton, Janson Mulder and Connor Cassidy. Eric Wells was solid in net earning game MVP.

 

The coaching staff were pleased with the entire teams effort.



The Mix 97 / Cogeco Novice A Jr. Bulls played the Quinte West Hawks in Frankford on Friday evening, and came away with a 5-1 win. Five different players scored for the Bulls with Cole Leal, Kyle Scruby,

Zach Uens, Landon McLellan, and Liam Lochhead each clicking once.

Assists went to Zach Uens, with a pair, Joshua Verbeek, Bryce Rose, Cameron Supryka, Eric Conlon, James Queen, and Scruby. Jackson Bonn and Charlie Archer shared goaltending duties in the win. Colby Crowe received the team's "Taking the Bull by the Horns " award.

 

On Saturday, the Mix 97 / Cogeco Novice A Jr. Bulls travelled to Whitby to play the undefeated Wildcats. The home team held off a hard charging Bulls team in a 2-1 loss for Belleville. Belleville

played an excellent game and outplayed Whitby for most of the match.

Willie Richards picked up Belleville's lone goal, assisted by James Queen. Charlie Archer and Jackson Bonn each played very well in net for the Jr. Bulls. Zach Uens earned the "Taking the Bull by the Horns" award. The Jr. Bulls head to Guelph next weekend for the Guelph PowerPlay tournament.

 

The Steinburg Dental Centre Novice AE Bulls losta tough game to Whitby on the weekend by an 8-2 score. Scoring for the Bulls were Blake Bush on a penalty shot and Chris Keller unassisted. Goaltending duties went to Ben Orr-McCuasland who played a good game. The Bullswill be playing in the Napanee tournament this coming weekend.

The Four Seasons Sports Minor Atom 'A' teamenjoyed an undefeated weekend on the road with a 5-5 tie in Clarington on Saturday and a 5-1 win on Sunday in Pickering. The players turned in solid efforts in both games demonstrating two-wayhustle, good passing,and strong goaltending. Goal scorers were Ben Trumpour, Cole St. Pierre, Owen Dever, Ryan Milligan, Will Bardwell and Regan Fleming. Assists were earned by Theo Citrullo, Braydan Forestell, St. Pierre, Fleming, Angelo Brown, Milligan, Mark Mulder and Bardwell."

Ray Bros. Construction Minor Atom AE Jr Bulls team played an amazing game in Ajax on Saturday 21 Nov/09 with a 9-f2 win.

Superp performance in net by Luis Dennison and Aiden Brownlee. Goals scored by Patrick French, Kaylen McCormack (2), Tyler Gordon, Carson Waite (2), Joshua Kyte (2), and William Arsenault. Assists to Nickolas Rittwage (2), Brady Potter, Joshua Henderson (2), Joshua Kyte (2), William Arsenault, Fraser Moodey, and Carson Waite (2).

 

The Parkside Landscaping Major Atom A Jr. Bulls played two away gamesover theweekend.On Friday night, the Jr. Bulls suffered ahard fought defeat against Whitby with a loss of 2-1.Scoring the only goal for Belleville wasNick Bartlett with an assist from Jordy Grigoriou. Saturday's game against Oshawa saw the Jr. Bulls bounce back from a one goal deficit in the first period to win 2-1. Goal scorers were Jack Belanger and Riley McMillan with assists from Grigoriou and Bartlett.

The Tal Trees PeeWeeMinor A team played 3 games this past weekend. The Team Battled hard against Ajax coming away with a 3-3 tie. Goal scorers were Cam Clarke, Dylan Blake, and Tristan Nugent; Assists: Tristan Nugent, Shaw Boomhower, Brayden White,Brendan Fredericks; Goalie: Brock Prescott.
On Saturday travelled to Pickering and after pulling the goalie Josh Burelle scored with 25 seconds remaining to tie the game 1 -1. Assist went to Tristan Nugent; Goalie: Nick Boutilier.
Sunday hosted Uxbridge and lost 3 -2 with a short bench. Goals to Shaw Boomhower and Dylan Blake. Assists: Jake London and Tristan Nugent. Goalie: Brock Prescott.

The Peter Smith Chev Olds PeeWee Jr.Bulls were at home Saturday to the squad from Ajax and came up a little short in a 2-1 decision.Jordan Guindon was the lone marksman for the Bulls with assists from Bradley Soule and Noah Sager.The Peter Smith Chev Olds Bulls were back at it Sunday and earned a point against Clarington at the Wally Dever Arena.C J Fox had the lone tally for the Bulls with helpers going to Liam Bailey-McDade and Daniel Alrick.Goal keeping duties were handled by Brock Tufts and Austin Lalonde on the weekend,three goals in two games,great job boys!

The Carpet One Bantam Major AE Jr Belleville Bullstraveledto St. Thomas for a Tournament this weekend. They beat the Windsor Spitfires on Friday 4-2 in their opening game. Brennan Chesterton, Nick Eliopoulos and Connor Stone (2) scored for Belleville. They were assisted by Cameron Bell, Brennan Chesterton, Keegan Leal (2). Riley Sampson held strong again the Spitfires. Belleville outshot Windsor with 30 shots on net vs Windsor's 14 shots.

On Saturday the Bulls played the hometown St Thomas Stars and ended with a tie 4-4. Goals were scored by Brennan Chesterton (2), Nick Eliopoulos and Luc Lentini. Assists were made by Mike Evans, Colin MacLaurin, Luc Lentini, Brennan Chesterton, Brock Cruess and Ben Butcher. Corey McMurter was strong between the pipes.

Saturday night, the Bulls won a resounding defeat with a 5-1 ending against Riverside Rangers. Josh Leadbeater (2), Brock Cruess, Mike Evans and Brennan Chesterton scored the goals, assisted by Patrick Shannon, Luc Lentini (2), Brennan Chesterton (2) and Connor Stone (2). Riley Sampson again played a strong goal.

The tournament round robin ended with the Jr Bulls finishing 2nd of the 9 teams. They went on to the semi finals on Sunday against TNT but were shut down with a 3-0 loss in the semi finals.

Overall the team played hard with everyone stepping up and playing well together.
