The Carpet One Tyke Major Jr Bulls tooktriple victories this week inexhibition play. They started things off by travelling to Napanee Wed night for a match against the Crunch, they won with a score of 3-1. Scoring for the Jr Bulls Ethan Parliment, Joe Bardwell, and Mathew Visser. Helpers went to Dakota De Genova, Ben Duvall and Brett Foley. Sharing the netminder duties for the win were Ethan Fraser and Scott Fleming.

 

Sat the Jr Bulls were host to the Tweed Hawkstrampelling them at home with a score of 11-2. Posting goals for the Bulls were Joe Bardwell 4, Mathew Visser, Dakota De Genova, Ethan Parliment, Kellen Irwin, Brett Foley, Riley St Pierre and Griffin Leveque. Assists provided by Dakota De Genova and Ethan Parliment both with3, Katie Mcnairand Mack Morrish with 2, Riley St Pierre, Joe Bardwell,Ben Duvall, Griffin Leveque, Cayde Cullhane and Tessa Rushlow. Scott Fleming and Ethan Fraser between the pipes for the victory.

 

Sunday the Tykes met with the Napanee Crunch again at home and swiped another win with the final scoreboard reading 8-1. Joe Bardwell swiping a hatrick and Riley StPierre with a pair, singles going toBrett Foley,Damian Hallam and Dakota De Genova. Helpersprovided byGriffin Leveque 4, Brett Foley and Ben Duval with a pair, Mack Morrish, Kaeden Hoecht, Mathew Visser, Damian Hallum, and Kellen Irwin with singles.Ethan Fraser and Scott Fleming providing solid goaltending.

 

 

 

The Steinburg Dental CentreNovice AE team won their final regular season game 4-1 againstPort Perry on Jan. 30. The Bulls weredown 1-0 going to into the 3rd period until they landed 4 goals. Will Smith had 2 goals, Nathan Channel and Austin Morgan had one each. Assists came from Jaden Mott, Ethan Andrews, Aaron Yuan, Austin Boyd, Rhys Lawday and Chris Keller. Excellent defense throughout the entire game came from Cole McCambridge, Blake Bush, Chris Keller and Aaron Yuan.Ben Orr played a solid gamebetween the posts in the win. The Jr. Bulls are headed to Ajax next week for the first round of playoffs.

 

On Saturday 30 Jan/10 the Ray Bros Construction Minor Atom AE Jr Bulls faced Whitby in game 1 of round 2 playoff action.The team worked hard but lost 6-2. Goals scored by Tyler Gordon and Patrick French. Assists to Tyler Gordon andNickolas Rittwage (2).
On Sunday 31 Jan/10 the Ray Bros Construction Minor Atom AE Jr Bulls hosted Whitby in game 2 of playoffs losing 8-3. Goals scored by Kaylen McCormack (2) and Carson Waite. Assists to Carson Waite (2), Brady Potter (2) and Campbell Fair.Goal tending shared by Luis Dennison and Aiden Brownlee.

The Four Seasons Sports Minor Atom 'A'Jr. Bulls hosted the Clarington Toros at the Memorial Arena on Saturday. The team played hard, but came up short losing 4 to 1 withRegan Flemingscoring the lone goal assisted byBen Trumpourand Owen Dever. On Sunday the Jr. Bulls traveled to Clarington and despite another good team effort lost 6-4. Goals were scored by Will Bardwell, Braydan Forestell, Regan Fleming and Owen Dever. Assists were earned by Braydan Forestell, Cole St. Pierre and Angelo Brown. Ryan Rushlow and Isaac Bridges shared goaltending duties.

The Parkside Landscaping Major AtomA Jr. Bullsplayed 2 games in the second round of playoffs against Whitby.The Bulls were held scoreless on the weekendwithWhitby beating them on Saturday 3-0 and Sunday 2-0. Shots on goal for both games was even.The shortened defensive line-up of Colin Taugher, Cameron Hale-Sanders, Jake Hale-Sanders, and Spencer Stone playeda solid gameon Sunday.

 

Tal Trees Minor PeeWee A split 2 games with Clarington in their Lakeshore playoff series.Sustaining a 5-3 loss in the home opener with scoring from Shaw Boomhower, Jake London, and Josh Burelle; Assists Jake London (2),Aaron Wells, Shaw Boomhower, Dylan Blake and Tristan Nugent Goalie: Nick Boutilier.
Winning 4-2 in Clarington with scoring fromJake Love(2),Jack Georke, and Tristan Nugent. Assists: Tristan Nugent(2), Jake London, Matt Bennett,and Brendan Fredericks. Solid goaltending from Brock Prescott.

The First On Site Restoration Minor Peewee AE Junior Bulls started a best of 5 series with Oshawa this past weekend. In the first game, Belleville lost a heartbreaker in overtime, 3-2. Belleville goals – Evan Foley (2), Assists – William Keneford, Jonathon McDonald and Damon Fair. Evan Hill in net. On Sunday the Junior Bulls travelled to Oshawa and came home with a 6-3 win. Goals – Evan Foley, Riley Bonin, Reilly Connell, William Keneford, Tristan Cowan and Logan Foeller. Assists – Foley (3), Keneford (2), Daman Fair, Johnathan LaMorre and Evan Hoecht. Zak Kelly in net for the win. The 1-1 series resumes this weekend in Belleville.

 

The Wilson Sports Bantam Major A Jr. Bulls trail the Whitby Wildcats 2 games to 1 in the second round of the playoffs. In game 1 the Bulls lost 2 to1 in overtime. Scoring for the Bulls was Jimmy Hamilton from Joey Thompson and Evan Cleave. It was Hamiltons first game back after 8 weeks off with a broken arm. Danny Manning suffered the loss.

In the second game Belleville took a 2 to 1 lead early in the second period but Whitby stormed back with three unanswered goals to take a 4 to 2 lead into the third. No goals were scored in the third and Whitby won 4 to 2. Scoring was done by Jarrod Pulver and Connor Cassidy. Assists were provided by Pulver, Cassidy, Wade Little and Colin Moore. Eric Wells was between the pipes.With their backs against the wall the Bulls showed lots of character and won game 3 in overtime 3 to 2. Cassidy scored the winner, his second goal of the game. The other goal was fired in by Thompson. Assists going to Little, Pulver, Thompson and Janson Mulder. Manning was strong to pick up the win.

 

The ITS Midget "A" Jr Bulls disposed of the pesky Clarington Toros last week in a final 5-3 win by the Bulls. As usual lately, the Bulls fell behind early but battled their way back to take the opening round playoff series 3 games to 1. Scoring for Belleville was Brett Bateman, Evan Greer, Sam Chartrand, Tyler Diamond and David Lytle. Diamond, Chartrand, Lytle Greer and Adam Finley picked up assists. Andrew Gnagnarella took the win in net.

Up next for the ITS Bulls were the Quinte West Hawks. Slow starts and penalty trouble got the Bulls into trouble aearly and foten as Quinte West built up a quick 4-0 lead midway through the 1st period. However, the Bulls are known for their late game comecacks and this game was no exception as the boys battled back on 2 goals by Riley Muise and Evan Greer from Brett Bateman. However that was all the locals could score but had several good chances. Dylan Bouwers played strong in a relief role in net.

Sunday the ITS Bulls came out flying putting pressure on the QW squad from the opening faceoff. David Lytle opened the scoring in the 1st from Tyler Diamond and Sam Chartrand. QW tied the game up midway through the 2nd period before scoring a shortahnded goal late in the 3rd period to give the Hawks squad what looked like the comeback win. However, as is usual the Bulls don't quit and scored a powerplay goalby Brett Bateman from Riley Muise and Lytle with 28 seconds to go to tie things up. Both teams played a 10 minute OT period with the Bulls getting some quality chances but couldn't put the Hawks away. Gnagnarella stood tall in the Belleville net. The series continues Thursday at 7:30pm in Trenton and back to Belleville Saturday at 3pm at Dick Ellis.

 

After defeating Oshawa in three straight during round one of playdowns the McDougall Insurance Minor Midget A Bulls are now leading Ajax 2-1 in the second round. Belleville lost to Ajax in Game One. Scoring goals for the Bulls were Mitch Goodfellow and Paul Buckley, assisted by Jared Boomhower, Daniel London and Devin McCann. Nick Nunn was in net. The Bulls came back to win Game Two 7-6 in overtime. Racking up the goals for Belleville were TJ McAlarey, Matt McDougall, Greg Massicotte,
Buckley, McCann, Goodfellow and Cullen McGrath with the winning OT goal. Assists went to Cole Larsen, Conrad Charlton, Shawn Dinnery-Peeling, McDougall, McCann (3) and Boomhower. Brodie McGinnis was superb in net for the win. Belleville continued on victorious in Game 3 despite being
short two defence triumphing over Ajax 3-2 again in over time. Netting goals for the Bulls were Boomhower, Charlton and Larsen with the winning OT goal. Adding assists were Mitchell Smith (2), Dakota Mahar, McDougall and Charlton. Nick Nunn was outstanding in net for the win. Game 4 is set for Saturday night in Ajax.
