Week Ending Jan 3rd

 

The Carpet One Tyke Jr Bulls travelled to Napanee on Sunday Dec 27th to take on the Novice Napanee AE Stars and were on the losing end of a 7-0 scoreboard.   The Jr Bulls worked hard, but just couldn't

get on the scoreboard.  Sharing the netminder duties, and making some solid saves despite the scoreboard were Ethan Fraser and Scott Fleming.

 

The Carpet One Tyke Jr Bulls hosted the Novice Napanee Stars at the Memorial Arena on Sunday.   They fell to the Stars losing 5-0.

The Mix97 / Cogeco Novice A Jr. Bulls had a successful weekend, 

beating the Peterborough Minor Atom AE team 6-2 on Saturday, and then 

shutting out the Ajax Minor Atom AE team 5-0.

 

On Saturday, the Jr. Bulls got goals from Daniel Panetta with a pair, 

James Queen, Landon McLellan, and Cameron Supryka.  Assists went to 

Joshua Verbeek, Zach Uens, Supryka and Richards with a pair each, 

Bryce Rose, Panetta, Cole Leal, and Eric Conlon.  Charlie Archer 

played a strong game in net.  Liam Lochhead received the team's 

"Taking the Bulls by the Horns" award for his strong initiative 

throughout the game.

 

On Sunday, the Jr. Bulls spread the scoring amongst five different 

players:  James Queen, Liam Lochhead, Daniel Panetta, Cameron 

Supryka, and Zach Uens all clicked for singles.  Willie Richards and 

Eric Conlon each picked up a pair of assists, while Cole Leal, Bryce 

Rose, Joshua Verbeek and panetta all earned single helpers.  Jackson 

Bonn was solid in net when called upon, picking up the shutout.  

Colby Crowe was awarded the "Taking the Bull by the Horns " award.

 

The Steinburg Dental Centre Novice AE Bulls played Port Perry two weekends
in a row.  They played hard and fought till the end and lost 4-3 during
their home game last weekend.  Goals came from Chris Kellar, Mackinnely
Boomhower and Austin Morgan.  Solid performance in net came from Benjamin
Orr.  The Bulls announced victory during their away game with a 3-1 win over
Port Perry on Sunday, Dec. 27.  Will Smith pounded three goals - gaining him
a hat trick, Mark Rosatte had a great game between the pipes.  Th
e Jr. Bulls are headed back to Port Perry next weekend.

 

The Steinburg Dental Centre Novice AE Jr Bulls landed a huge win on Saturday with a 7-3 win over Port Perry. Ben Orr played an excellent game between the pipes. Goals came from Chris Keller, Will Smith, Austin Boyd, Austin Morgan and Blake Bush. Great defence also came from Aaron Yuan, Cole McCambridge, Rhys Lawday and Blake Bush.

 

The Jr Bulls took a tough loss 6-4 against Oshawa on Sunday.  

 

The Parkside Landscaping Major Atom A Jr. Bulls defeated Quinte West 4-2 at their home game on Sunday.  Scoring for the Jr. Bulls was Riley McMillan, Cole King (2), and Nick Bartlett.  Assists went to Ben Smith, Spencer Goodfellow, King, Spencer Stone, and Bartlett.  In net for the Jr. Bulls was Alex VanRooy.

 

The Ray Bros Construction Minor Atom AE Jr Bulls had a rough start to the
New Year on Saturday 2 Jan while hosting
Whitby losing 6-2.  Both goals scored by Carson Waite, assists credited to
William Arsenault (2), Kaylen McCormack, and
Ethan Green.


On Sunday 3 Jan/10 the Ray Bros Construction Minor Atom AE Jr Bulls team
hosted Quinte West.  Although the boys showed a
great team effort and fought hard, they lost 3-1 with goal scored by
Nickolas Rittwage, assisted by Tyler Gordon and
Patrick French.  Incredible performance in net by Luis Dennison and Aiden
Brownlee.

The Parkside Landscaping Major Atom A Jr. Bulls tied 1-1 at home against Whitby on Saturday.  Scoring the only goal for the Jr. Bulls was Jack Belanger with assists going to Mitch Whitley and Jake Hale-Sanders.  Holding Whitby to a single goal was goaltender Alex Van Rooy.

 

"The Four Seasons Sports Minor Atom 'A' Jr. Bulls concluded their regular season with a 6-1 road victory over Quinte West.  The players exhibited strong hustle and teamwork from the first puck drop through to the end of the game.  Scoring for the Jr. Bulls was Will Bardwell, Braydan Forestell, Owen Dever (3) and Angelo Brown.  Assists were earned by Forestell, Cole St. Pierre, Mark Mulder, Ben Trumpour, Rorey Kehoe, Regan Fleming and Ryan Milligan.  The team ends the regular season in second place in the Lakeshore League with a record of 18-4-2 "

 

Tal Trees Minor PeeWee A ran their undefeated tournament record to 19 games before a 4-2 defeat to Cobourg in the Silver Stick Qualifier final held in Cobourg. Brock Prescott played a strong game in net. Goals to Aaron Wells and Dylan Blake. Assists: Tristan Nugent (2),Cam Clarke, and Brendan Fredericks.
 
Tal Trees opened the Tournament with a 3-2 win over Cobourg. Goals: Brayden White, Josh Burelle, and Shaw Boomhower. Assists: Brayden White, Shaw Boomhower, Jake Love, Cam Clarke, Tristan Nugent, Matt Bennett. Brock Prescott was in net. In Game 2 defeating Mississippi 6-2. Goals: Jack Georke (3), Braden White, Josh Burelle,Tristan Nugent; Assists: Jake Love(2), Dylan Blake(2), Jackson Cleave, Jordan Stanfield, Cam Clarke, Josh Burelle, Shaw Boomhower,Jack Georke, Tristan Nugent. Goalie: Nick Boutilier. Game 3 downed Mississippi 4-2. Goals: Shaw Boomhower(2), Cam Clarke, Tristan Nugent. Assists:Matt Bennett, Jackson Cleave, Shaw Boomhower, Brendan Fredericks. In goal was Nick Boutilier. In game 4 tied Cobourg 1-1. Jack Georke scoring from Cam Clarke and Jake London. Brock Prescott in Net.  
 
In league play Tal Trees took the loss 4-3 at Quinte West. Nick Boutilier took the loss in net.Goals: Jack Georke, Josh Burelle, and Shaw Boomhower. Assists: Matt Bennett, Brayden White, Jack Georke, Dylan Blake and Cam Clarke.
 
Hosting Whitby Tal Trees were defeated 3-2.Spliting  Goaltending duties were Nick Boutilier and Brock Prescott. Goals: Tristan Nugent, Jack Georke. Assists: Josh Burelle, Justin Lewis, Tristan Nugent, Jake Love.

This First On Site Restoration Minor Peewee AE Junior Bulls had a busy Christmas holiday, playing six games. The Jr Bulls hosted Peterborough in a league double header and fell short on both games. In the opener Belleville came up short on a 6-5 decision. Goals – Riley Bonin (2), Johnathan LaMorre, Evan Hoecht, Declan Cross. Assists – Cross, Bonin, Hoecht, Evan Foley (2), Logan Foeller, Johnathan McDonald, Tristan Cowan and Wyatt Brauer. In the nightcap Belleville fell 3-1. Lone Goal top Reilly Connell. Assists Tristan Cowan and Johnathan LaMorre. Zak Kelly and Evan Hill shared net duty over the two games.

 

The Jr Bulls then travelled to Tweed for a Christmas tournament on Dec 29th. In the opener, the Bulls blanked host Tweed 5-0. Goals- Evan Hoecht (2), Evan Foley, Damon Fair and Logan Foeller. Assists – Fair, Foeller, Foley, William Keneford and Johnathan McDonald. Evan Hill in net for the shutout. In the second game Belleville beat Napanee 4-1. Goals - Johnathan LaMorre, Declan Cross, Evan Foley and Logan Foeller Assists – Foeller, Johnathan LaMorre, Damon Fair (2) and William Keneford. Zak Kelly in net for the win. This qualified Belleville for the A final where they lost an overtime heartbreaker against the same Napanee team. Lone goal scored by Reilly Connell. Assists- Johnathan Lamorre and Damon Fair. Evan Hill was strong in net. Belleville wrapped up the Christmas season with a road game in Whitby coming out on the short end of a 5-2 decision. Goals – Evan Hoecht and Damon Fair. Assists – Declan Cross, Fair and Ben Russett. Zak Kelly was strong throughout the game in net.

 

The Carpet One Major Bantam AE Jr. Bulls won 6-3 versus Port Perry Sunday Night. Scoring for Belleville was Brennan Chesterton (2), Luc Lentini, Kurt Grav Graham, Connor Stone and Nick Eliopoulos, with assist going to Brennan Chesterton, Cameron Bell, Joshua Leadbeater (2), Kurt Grav Graham, Colin MacLaurin, Luc Lentini and Ben Butcher . Riley Sampson played a solid game in net.

 

 The Wilson Sports Bantam Major A Bulls are on a 6 game winning streak with 2 more wins this weekend. First game saw the Bulls beat the Trenton Golden Hawks  6-1. The game was closer then the score showed as Belleville scored 3 goals late in the third period to blow the game open. Scoring for the Bulls were Nick Eliapoulis (2), Wade Little, Joey Thompson, Kyle Foley and Luke Lentini. Assists to Lentini, Janson Mulder, Foley(2), Little(3), Colin Moore, Garrett Sherry and Drew Scott. Danny Manning picked up the win with steady play.

 

The second game saw the Bulls travel to Oshawa to take on the Generals. The Bulls came out on top with a 6-3 victory.The Bulls were lead by Jarrod Pulver who scored twice from center ice and also chipped in with two assists. Other goal scorers were Little(2), Connor Cassidy and Scott. Other assists were by Tyler Botting and Evan Cleave. Eric Wells earned the win with timely saves.

 

The Wilson Sports Major Bantam A JR Bulls had a slow week playing only 1 game. They played host to the Ajax Knights. The Bulls came away with a 2-1 victory leapfrogging the Knights and moving into third place. Scoring for the Bulls were Evan Cleave and Connor Cassidy, assists went to Colin Moore and Jarrod Pulver. Eric Wells picked up the win with steady play and lost his shut out with 13 seconds to play.

 

The McDougall Insurance Midget Minor A Bulls split their weekend games
1-1 this week.  Belleville defeated Quinte West 5-2 on goals by Conrad
Charlton, Devin McCann, Cullen McGrath and Jared Boomhower (2).  Adding
assists were Charlton (2), Matt McDougall, Greg Massicotte, Daniel
London, Derek Stoliker and TJ McAlarey.  Brodie McGinnis gets the win in
net.  The Bulls then lost to Clarington 3-2.  Scoring for Belleville
were McGrath and Boomhower with both assisting on each other's goals.
Massicotte added one additional assist.  Nick Nunn gave a tremendous
effort between the pipes.
