TOURNAMENTS

62nd Annual Peewee Bantam Shriner’s Tournament

Welcome!

Jeff Russett, our Tournament Director and I would like to extend a sincere welcome to all of the players, coaching staff, and families who have come to play in our tournament.  We have spent a lot of time planning for this weekend, and hope that we will host an event you will enjoy and remember for years to come.

Belleville is known as the friendly City, so we encourage you to explore our town, parks and shopping venues while you are here.  We have had amazing community support for this event, so we hope that you will take advantage of the great offers and promotions that our local businesses have offered you.  While our many restaurants are excited at the opportunity to host your teams, we would ask that when dining as a group, you call ahead and book a reservation to ensure you will receive the best service possible.

We are extremely proud of our new facilities, and would request that you ask your players not to shoot any pucks or play with balls while in the arenas.  The forecast is calling for good weather, so please have the players complete any warm up running outside,  Stretching and warm up exercises are acceptable in the hallways around the dressing room area.

Tournament opening ceremonies will take place on Friday at 12PM in the Yardmen arena.  We invite all teams that are able to attend.

Game sheets will be taken to the dressing rooms prior to the games for all the players to sign. Please apply your game sheet labels at that time or hand write in your player’s roster prior to their signing.

There is a First Aid Room, and Defibrillators available and clearly marked on the Rink A and Rink B room layout included in your welcome package.  Should an ambulance need to be called, please direct them to the south entrance of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre and the driveway located after the Rink B entrance. If they are required at Wally Dever or Yardmen, please direct them to the zamboni doors of that particular arena.

A member of the tournament committee will always be available in Tournament Headquarter. Should you need to contact a Tournament official the phone number for Tournament Headquarters is 613-967-3200 ext 3819. We will also be requesting an emergency contact number that will be available for this weekend for each team.

Scores and standings will be posted outside of Tournament Headquarters as well as in the Hallway between Rink A and B.  Results will also be available on the BMHA website: www.bellevilleminorhockey.com.

Tournament rules have been posted on the website, in addition to a copy in this welcome package. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to render final decisions regarding rule protest and objections, and any other matter that may arise.

I hope you will have a great time, and would welcome any feedback regarding the tournament to assist us in future tournament planning.
