The Ontario Minor
Hockey Association, the largest minor hockey association in the world, is
seeking a resourceful, innovative and self-motivated individual for the
position of Manager, Communications & Information Technology.
The successful candidate must be a team-orientated person
with outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Internal and External Communications to the Executive Board, Membership,
Media and Partners.
- Manage the content development and delivery of key OMHA Publications
including the Manual of Operations, AGM Program and Championship Database
Booklet.
- Work with Marketing, Development and Registration in the development and
management of content for the OMHA website including news stories.
- Create new web pages and sections as required, including graphic
elements.
- Manage, maintain and grow the OMHA¡¦s online presence and brand
awareness.
- Provide computer software and hardware support to OMHA Office, Executive
and Membership.
- Design web banners and graphics.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years experience in communications or information technology.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set and meet priorities and
deadlines are essential.
- Solid understanding of web development and web standards.
- Hands-on familiarization with the Internet and web-based technology and
terms.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interface with volunteer-based Executive and Membership.
- Experience with HTML and Photoshop.
- Very strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of electronic and print media would be an asset.
- Knowledge of minor hockey is highly recommended.
- Results oriented.
- Team player.
The salary for this position is dependent upon
qualifications and experience. The OMHA offers a competitive compensation
package.
