Williams Hotels Minor Bantam AE have received their playoff assignment in 1/4 Final OMHA Playdowns vs the Lakeshore League's number one finishing Peterborough Pete's. At stake will be nothing less then the Overall League Championship with the winner moving on to continue in the Provincial Semi Finals.

During
weekend Minor Bantam OMHA Playdowns, the Williams Hotels Belleville Jr Bulls
took a 4 point series lead over the Whitby Wildcats by winning their second
game at home at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre on Saturday afternoon.
The Whitby Wildcats scored first late in the
first frame to take a 1 point lead into the second, however the Jr Bulls left
no doubt they came to play as they seemed to dominate the balance of the game.
With just less than 1 ½ minutes left in the second Nolan Parliament tied the
game after being set up by Ben Stoliker off a rebound on a shot from the point
from Nicholas Kyte.
Then
with just 2 minutes and 12 seconds left in the third, Nicholas Kyte scored
giving the Jr Bulls a 2 to 1 go ahead goal. Whitby was unable to respond to and
the Jr Bulls took a 2 game to none; 4 point lead in the series. Liam Raycroft
in net for the win.
The
Jr Bulls then returned to Whitby on Sunday afternoon to face the Wildcats and

Hockey Club left no doubt when they showed up in Whitby on Saturday afternoon
in the Series 2 opener.
Nicholas Kyte opened the scoring just 1 Minute and 13
Seconds in the opening frame and the Jr Bulls never looked back.
Just 5 ½ minutes later, Ben Smith put the Bulls ahead by a
pair. 3 minutes into the 2nd Period, Rylan Levean netted what would
be the game winning goal.
Whitby scored twice but they could never even the score against
the Jr Bulls.
Assists during the game went to Cameron Bardell and Rylan
Young.

Saturday February 2 at 7:45 PM and the Jr Bulls invite hockey fans to come out
and support them as they advance in the OMHA Playdowns.

Hockey Team swept the Pickering Panthers in the first round of the OMHA
Playdowns to move on to the second round of the OMHA Playdowns to commence
January 28th.
In the three games played in net Liam Raycroft with two
shut-outs on the two visits he had to the net and Tyler Quance with a victory
on his sole appearance in net seeing the Jr Bulls outscore the Panthers 15 to 2
in the series.
Scoring for the Williams Hotel Jr Bulls; Nicholas Kyte
scoring 7 times in the series with a single assist. Ben Stoliker 3 goals and an
assist, and singles to Wyatt Brennan, Max Hoskin and an assist, Ben Smith and
an assist, Brayden Peters and an assist, Cameron Bardell and Nolan Parliament
also an assist. Other assists in the series Rylan Young, Dawson Closs, Colum
Joyce and Matthew Petto.

After a successful Holiday Season and attending several nursing and homes for the aged in Belleville area, the Williams Hotels Minor Bantam AE Hockey Team have been invited to sing the National Anthem at the January 5, 2013 Bulls game vs the Sault St Marie Greyhounds at the Yardmen Arena.
Team Members accompanied by Mrs. Holly Van Rooy will sing the anthem prior to the dropping of the puck this coming Saturday and team members are excited about this opportunity. The Team will also gather after the game at a local restaurant to enjoy a Holiday get together as they were unable to schedule one prior to Christmas.
The Team just returning from the Richard Bell Memorial Tournament in Oakville Ontario where they played against four teams all ranked within the top 10 in the province was happy with their performance, proving to themselves with a record of 2-2-0 at the tournament that they can compete compete at a level that will allow them to seek an OMHA Championship. The Williams Hotels Belleville Jr Bulls Minor Bantam A/E Hockey Team will be sharing in Christmas Spirit and Song with several of the area local retirement and nursing homes in the upcoming week prior to Christmas.
On Saturday December 15 the local hockey team will be gathering at two homes in Belleville following up on Tuesday December 18 in the evening with a visit to another three local homes.
While the Team was recently away on a tournament in Detroit the idea was floated about how they could share and experience the Christmas spirit in the community. This was one of the ideas that the team collectively as a whole indicated they would enjoy pursuing and with that, local nursing homes were contacted and it was met with a very warm reception.
Team Members will gather at the homes and entertain the residents for approximately half an hour. The caroling will include traditional Christmas songs.
